Palm Desert, La Quinta, and Indio are the closest towns. Indian Wells and Rancho Mirage are close too, and Palm Springs is a short drive. Interstate 10, Fred Waring Drive, and Highway 111 are the easy ways in and out.

The neighborhood wraps around a golf course that Billy Bell designed in 1958. It hosted the Bob Hope Classic for decades. Joshua Tree National Park, the Indian Canyons, and Murray Canyon are day trips. Indio hosts Coachella and Stagecoach at Empire Polo Grounds. If you are in town for one of them, book early. Those weeks fill up.

For dinner in town, our picks are Chef George's, Mario's Italian Cafe, and Joe's Sushi. Highway 111 has more options if you want to drive, including Shields Date Gardens and Wally's Desert Turtle.

The driveway fits three cars. Please do not park on the street overnight. The neighborhood asks guests to keep the volume down, and there is no music outside after 10:00 PM.
